The Good News

"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous to bring you to God."

~ 1 Peter 3:18

As Christ's ambassadors, we are harbingers of Good News! It is such Good News that it is worth giving up everything for!

At the heart of the Christian message is the Good News that God has provided the way for people to be in a right relationship with Him through Jesus. You see, at one time or another in our lives, we have chosen to ignore God and refused to live with Him as our King. Because of this, we all come under His judgement and His just condemnation. But the Bible tells us that in God's great mercy, He sent His own Son Jesus to suffer God's just punishment in our place. Because of Jesus, God does not give us what we deserve - death! Instead, He gives us what we do not deserve - abundant grace! Now that's good news!

A Christian is someone who has humbly received God's free gift of grace. The Christian is not accepted by God on the basis of his own good works (because it is not good enough by God's standards). Instead, the Christian is accepted by God because of the good work that Jesus has done on our behalf. His death on the Cross paid the penalty of our sins.

If you are not yet a Christian, why not become one today! God is offering you the greatest opportunity of a lifetime and beyond to know Him and live with Him as your King! Life with the King of the Universe is to live the full and abundant life.

Becoming a Christian is as simple as A-B-C:

A - Admit that you have ignored God and not lived with Him as your King

B - Believe that Jesus has died on the Cross for your sins, and rose again so that you may have eternal life

C - Commit your whole life to God, and live with Jesus as your King.

Why not talk to God right now in the quietness of your own heart, and then talk to a Christian friend about your decision.

If you are not yet ready to become a Christian, why not investigate it further! Pick up a copy of the Bible and read one of the Gospels in the New Testament - "Matthew, Mark, Luke or John" and decide for yourself whether this Jesus was the real thing or not. Ask yourself whether he was a liar? lunatic? or Lord (as he claimed to be)? If He is Lord, then he is worth following!

Maybe you are a Christian but over the years life has become a burden and you've lost that joy and passion of being one? Let us encourage you to rediscover that joy and passion by reminding yourself of who you are in Christ - that you are a child of God, saved and regenerated for God's awesome purposes! Get into God's word and be fired up by His cosmic regeneration project of renewing and bringing all things under Jesus! You too are His ambassador and His agent of transformation in this Project. So get with it!
