Ongs in Malawi



 Pete was born in Singapore and came to Australia as a seven year old, having lived 2.5 years in Holland before that. After completing high school at Trinity Grammar, he studied a combined Bachelor of Civil Engineering/Arts (Linguistics) at UNSW.  After graduation, Pete worked as a Graduate Engineer for a Local Council for 2.5 years before switching to the private sector. Pete has worked for a global engineering consultancy for the past 5.5 years where he has worked in the water industry on some exciting design and construction projects.  While working, Pete studied part-time for 3 years at Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC). In 2011, he commenced studying full-time at Morling Theological College.  His Interest includes: reading, soccer, food, listening to U2.


Jo was born in Hong Kong and migrated to Australia with her family as a ten-year-old.
After high school (Burwood Girls 1991-1994, St George Girls 1994-1996), Jo spent her first year of uni studying for a Bachelor of Science before changing to a Bachelor of Industrial Design (Product design) followed by a Mastor of Teaching (Primary). She taught kindergarten at Pacific Hills Christian School for a few years before the birth of Teaghan in 2007. In 2008, Jo started her cake decorating business (The Cupcake Gallery).
Jo o enjoys making things - sewing, woodworking, crocheting, etc and is not a fan of garlic and onions :o)


Teaghan loves animals and aspires to be a vet or a zoo keeper one day. She is a keen reader who devours books more than she does food! Teaghan plays the flute and enjoys learning new crafty things like crocheting.


Lucas the middle child is friendly and outgoing. He loves making friends and meets people wherever he goes. Lucas loves building Legos and watching his favourite cartoons on DVD. He likes to ride his bike and rollerblades.


Micaiah, or Caya/Caycay as we call her at home, is a busy little noise maker who loves anything creative. She loves spending time cutting, gluing, and sticky-taping. Caycay is the clown of the family who loves making her siblings laugh.
